Oasis selected a few suppliers to be among the first businesses to use the new Oasis eCommerce partnership. This program was designed to blend Oasis and the Suppliers into a seamless logistic system, streamlining business processes and helping reduce operating costs.
The Oasis eCommerce program enables purchasing personnel to efficiently manage the communications between the supplier and Oasis utilizing email, faxes and or online communications. This broad approached proved invaluable in ensuring integration with diverse suppliers and systems. Purchasing Specialist Liliana Ferreira said “In the past to execute one purchasing decision could take days and require several follow-up steps. With the new system, communication occurs instantaneously with the entering of the purchase order and tracking occurs automatically by the system. This allows me to move on to other decisions, knowing that the system will communicate any problems or actions that will be required.”
Oasis expects the eCommerce program to grow exponentially over the next year as we integrate more supplier partners onto the platform.
