Oasis Foods Company is one of the largest manufacturers of food products for the food service industry in the Northeast. For over a quarter of a century, Oasis Foods Co. has been providing an expansive variety of quality products such as dressings, margarine, spreads, shortenings, vinegars, edible oils, mayonnaise, sauces, portion-controlled products and other condiment items.
The Company's customers consist primarily of wholesalers, distributors, wholesale bakeries, and chain restaurants. The company employs over 200 people and operates its own fleet of trucks, from its Hillside, New Jersey facility. Commissioner Albert G. Kroll of the New Jersey Department of Labor presented Anthony Alves, President & CEO of Oasis Food Company $120,540 Customized Training grant to upgrade the skills of 247 of the company's workforce. Oasis Foods is investing $253,540 in matching funds to provide the training. To date, Oasis Foods has received over $250,000 in Department of Labor Grants and has invested over $400,000 in employee training.
The certification is issued by industry icon Bob Oros after completing in depth training on Foodservice Sales, Price Negotiating, Restaurant Consulting, Center of the Plate and District Sales Training.
