Green Initiatives

Oasis Foods Company is conscientious of our impact on the environment.  As a manufacturer, we understand the larger impact we have on the environment verses a consumer. We continue to take steps to reduce our negative impact.  Oasis’ green initiatives include; energy efficient offices, waste management system, use of recycled packaging materials and solar energy conversion project.  

Over 95% of the products we ship are 100% recyclable!!!

Solar Energy Project

Oasis Foods has initiated a roof-top solar energy project.  Once completed, Oasis Foods will generate renewable energy through roof-top solar panels, in an effort towards making Oasis Foods Corporate Offices and Manufacturing energy self-sufficient.

Corrugated Cardboard

More then 90% of our products are shipped in corrugated boxes, and approximately 50% of our raw materials are shipped in corrugated boxes or contain some sort of corrugated (slip sheets, dividers, etc). To aid the environment, Oasis internally recycles 99% of its corrugated board and uses 100% recycled materials in our outbound shipments.

Plastics

Recycling one ton of plastic saves 7.4 cubic yards of landfill space. Plastic bottles which are used for manufacturing at Oasis Foods are all food grade resins, through advanced manufacturing technologies, we have been able to produce premium bottles & caps with an average of 10% lower resin than industry standard.

Toner Cartridges

One of the more wasteful items we produce surprisingly is toner cartridges. The plastic used in each toner cartridge takes more than 10 centuries to decompose. Oasis has a recycling program in place and recycles 100% of all toner cartridges we purchase.

Packaging

Oasis has partnered with local recycling companies to recycle our various bulk packaging, such as Fiber, Metal and Plastic drums and Totes.
